The automatic transmission shifts gears, controlled by the computer, making it easy to operate.
1. When driving on a flat road, generally use the "D" gear. If driving in a congested area, switch to the 3 gear position for more power.
2. Master the use of the left foot to assist in controlling the brake. For example, before entering a parking space, if you need to go up a short slope, use your right foot to control the accelerator and your left foot to press the brake to control the vehicle's slow movement.
The gear lever of an automatic transmission is equivalent to the gear lever of a manual transmission, generally having the following positions: P (Park), R (Reverse), N (Neutral), D (Drive), S (or 2, which is the 2-speed gear), L (or 1, which is the 1-speed gear).
If you want to maintain good acceleration performance, you can keep a large throttle opening at all times; the automatic transmission will shift to a higher gear at higher speeds. If you want to drive smoothly, you can slightly lift the accelerator pedal at the appropriate time, and the transmission will automatically upshift.
Keeping the engine at a lower RPM at the same speed can achieve better fuel economy and a quieter driving experience. At this point, if you lightly press the accelerator pedal to continue accelerating, the transmission will not immediately downshift; this is a feature designed by the engineers to prevent frequent shifting by allowing early upshifting and delayed downshifting.
